GIRNE-based Internet service Locators Online swung into action again yesterday, with the 7.9-magnitude Indian earthquake which has killed more than 700 people. The Thomas family's "missing persons" tracing service yesterday received 15 requests for help via their website http://locators.iecnc.org, located alive and well, but had yet to glean sufficient information in the other 12 cases. Just last week, they acted on 140 pleas for help from people with loved ones in earthquake-hit El Salvador. Ninety-six per cent of the requests brought a "happy ending", with just six people unable to be contacted because of lack of information.
