Due to the structural make-up of Locators Online, Emergency Response
Teams are set up soon after a disaster strikes. This team is made up
of 4 permanent Coordinators, the representative of the region and all
of the volunteer locators in the disaster zone.
Emergency Response Teams are responsible for tracking and responding
to electronic communications and for the actual process of contacting
the "missing" person.
If Locators Online has no Permanent Presence Centre in the disaster
zone or if the number of volunteer locators is not enough to work efficiently,
then temporary volunteer locators are recruited on a requirement basis,
and the Emergency Response Team functions in the normal manner.
